A layer of latex-modified concrete is bonded to the surface of each panel of insulation further protecting it from physical abuse as well as providing ballast.
• | CTI Light panels consist of 3/8" latex-modified concrete e bonded to 2" or 3" extruded polystyrene and weighs 4.5 lbs./sq. ft. |
• | CTI Heavy panels consist of 15/16" net 1" latex-modified concrete bonded to 2" or 3" extruded polystyrene and weigh 11 lbs./sq. ft. |
• | Each 2' x 4' panel is tongue-and-grooved
and loose-laid over the membrane |
• | Extruded polystyrene has an R-value of 5 per inch, guaranteed |
• | Ballast and insulation are laid in one easy step |
• | Panels are recyclable, free of CFC's, and can be reused in any reroof situation or vertical expansion |

Advantages of a PMR Assembly:
• | T.Clear's PMR system
consists of concrete ballast panels bonded to durable, moisture
resistant STYROFOAM® extruded polystyrene insulation that
has one of the highest R-values per inch. |
• | Removal and re-installation of the ballast and insulation is easy, and can be reused. |
• | Reduces global warming impact by limiting excessive use of energy sources |
• | The membrane is maintained at a nearly constant temperature, reducing the harmful effects of freeze-thaw cycling and excessive heat. |
• | In a PMR system, the insulation, fabric and ballast are loose-laid, and these components can be reused after maintenance or reroof construction. |
• | A PMR roof assembly also helps building owners meet the goal of sustainable construction (LEED). |

The U.S. Green Building Council, a nonprofit coalition promoting high-performance green building design, has developed Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED), a voluntary, consensus-based standard. The LEED rating recognizes the life-cycle costing of construction.
